I received my Bachelor’s Degree from Michigan State University in Human Development and Family Studies, focusing on Child Development. After graduating, I went directly into my Master’s program at The University of Akron in Marriage and Family Counseling/Therapy. During this time, I taught child development classes at the university and gained experience in research. My graduate degree provided me classes and experience with individuals, families, and couples.

My internship and first job position were doing Intensive In-Home Therapy and working as a group facilitator at an adolescent residential setting in Cleveland, OH. Here I worked with the most severe 2% of adolescents in the country. Both of these settings provided me experience with complex trauma, severe mental illness, and crisis management.

Since moving back to Michigan in 2018, my home state, I worked in Brighton, before moving my practice to Northville. I became an EMDR Certified therapist in April 2023 and am now working as an EMDR Consultant-in-Training.

During my free time, I enjoy spending time with my dog, Mia and cats, Lilo, Goose and Bill. I enjoy being outside, cooking, football, and doing puzzles. For self-care, I like to take Mia for a walk, bake, or journal.
